We welcome Rev Everett Dickinson to our pulpit today while Pastor Bob and family are on vacation. Pastor Jack DuBois will be with us next week.
Our Prayer Project assignment for the month of August is the 1st Hopkinton SDB Church. Please pray for their fall programs.
SHRIMP-OFF! During the Community Cookout on 8/24 we will be having a Shrimp cooking competition. Anyone interested in competing will be provided 2 lbs. of large shrimp, peeled with tail on. You will need to provide the seasonings, a grill, and talent! Any preparation method is welcome (pan fried, grilled, etc.) Our three "expert" judges will decide who wins the bragging rights. You will need to sign up in advance for the competition by filling out the form at www.MarlboroSDB.org.. or seeing Ben. Deadline for signup is 8/17.
There are plenty of the postcards, advertising Fun in the Son, and the Community Barbecue in the vestibule. Feel free to take several and hand them out to your friends.
