ANNOUNCEMENTS
THANKS to everyone who helped with Jr. Camp this year. Your participation made it a grand success. I'm sure there will be an extra star in your crown for your willingness to serve. Also thank you to those of you who helped with Fun in The Son. There was a bigger turnout than we expected, so your help was greatly appreciated.
SHRIMP-OFF! During the Community Cookout on 8/24 we will be having a Shrimp cooking competition. Anyone interested in competing will be provided 2 lbs. of large shrimp, peeled with tail on. You will need to provide the seasonings, a grill, and talent! Any preparation method is welcome (pan fried, grilled, etc.) Our three "expert" judges will decide who wins the bragging rights. You will need to sign up in advance for the competition by filling out the form at www.MarlboroSDB.org.. or seeing Ben. Deadline for sign-up is 8/17.
There are plenty of the postcards, advertising Fun in the Son, and the Community Barbecue in the vestibule. Feel free to take several and hand them out to your friends.
It's for sure now! Next year General Conference will be held in Lancaster. If you would be willing to serve on the Host Committee and do some of the preparation work along with the Shiloh church please let Pastor Bob know.
While Pastor Bob is on vacation for the next two weeks Tom will be doing the bulletin. Please give him all new announcements.
